We partnered with Habitat for Humanity Guatemala to provide Healthy Home Kits for coffee farmers who work at Finca El Paternal farm. The kits included smokeless stoves, sanitary latrines, and purifying water filters for their homes.

2016 - PRESENT

COLOMBIA

We have been working with PGI, The Human Bean, and The Coffee Source to produce a wastewater collection facility at all 168 coffee farms within the entire region of Caldas, Colombia. As of 2022, we have completed all the work at the coffee farms and are beginning to work on a water treatment plan for the farm’s shared Coffee Mill.

2013

HONDURAS

We partnered with PGI and Water Brigades to empower the people of rural Honduras to have access to clean and sufficient water by tackling water issues in El Ojochal and El Junquillo communities in one of the hottest and driest regions of South Honduras. We donated construction supplies to build a primary school in The Kinjibi Tribe. The school serves children of workers at the Madan Estate, a longtime partner of ours.

Two rural Kenyan communities gain access to clean drinking water as a result of funds raised during the 2009 Walk for Water event in Portland. The once annual event, held in conjunction with United Nations World Water Day, called attention to the plight of millions of women and children throughout the world who suffer from a lack of access to water.

We worked with Tree for the Future, a nonprofit organization that plants trees in an effort to offset carbon output. 15,000 shade trees were initially planted for coffee growers in the Ucraprobex Cooperative in the Alpaneca region. We have continued to plant more tree to offset our carbon output.
