Since our founding in 1996, Portland Coffee Roasters has worked to make the world a better place through great people and fantastic coffee!

Every year, we work with different community organizations to provide support and aid in necessary improvements.
These projects have spanned the globe from Costa Rica and Indonesia to right in our own hometown.
Beginning in 1999, our first direct trade relationships with La Hilda Estate in Costa Rica and Finca El Paternal in Guatemala cemented our commitment to our coffee producing partners around the world.
Since then, we’ve continued to build on that commitment to improving the lives of the people with whom we work.
We’re focused on building strong, lasting relationships with coffee farmers. Along the way, we’ve built an intimate understanding of the lengths producers go to grow to harvest coffee of the highest quality.
We celebrate the people who help create your coffee experience.

Every year, the company works to help fund a different global coffee project and support coffee communities in need. These projects range from funding a day care in Costa Rica for children of farm families to building clean water infrastructure and septic tanks, sinks, and bathrooms in Florencia, Colombia.
