PAPUA NEW GUINEA

PRC donated construction supplies to build a primary school in The Kinjibi Tribe. The school serves children of workers at the Madan Estate, a longtime partner of PRC.

COSTA RICA

PRC has been working with The Coffee Source to fund a proper place to care children of farm families working the in the harvest. The La Hilda daycare provided a general medical check, dental check, meals, and a playground.

INDIA

Donated funds to the Opportunity School for the Deaf & Mentally Challenged near Karnataka Coffee Estates and Sethuraman Estate, to provide work skills training for the students.

SUMATRA

Pembangunan orphanage in Northern Sumatra, to help rebuild the orphanage and to support children who lost their parents during the Civil War and the 2004 Tsunami.

EL SALVADOR

Worked with Trees for the Future, a nonprofit organization that plants trees in an effort to offset carbon output. 15,000 shade trees were planted for coffee growers in the Ucraprobex Cooperative in the Alpaneca region.

KENYA

Two rural Kenyan communities gained access to clean drinking water as a result of funds raised during the 2009 Walk for Water event in Portland. This annual event, held in conjunction with United Nations World Water Day and led and sponsored by Portland Roasting, calls attention to the plight of millions of women and children throughout the world who suffer from a lack of access to water.

MAWALI

Water well project with Water for All. With funding by PRC, clean water wells dug, solar powered pumps installed, and storage tanks erected for four schools with the greatest need. The tanks show instructions on proper hygiene.

RWANDA

Partnered with World Vision to support their WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) project. Drilled over 30 wells, rehabilitated 136 non-functioning wells, trained 180K+ communities on sanitation.

HONDURAS

Partnered with Portland Global Initiatives (PGI) and Water Brigades to empower the people of rural Honduras to have access to clean sufficient water by tackling water issues in El Ojochal and El Junquillo communities in one of the hottest and driest regions of the South Honduras.

COLOMBIA

PRC has been working with PGI, the Human Bean and The Coffee Source to produce a wastewater collection facility at all 168 coffee farms within the entire region of Caldas, Colombia. As of 2018, the project has completed 4 New Septic Tanks, 21 New Sanitary units, 15 units repaired.

GUATEMALA

Partnered with Habitat for Humanity Guatemala to provide Healthy Home Kits for coffee farmers who work at Finca El Paternal farm. The kit included smokeless stoves, sanitary latrines, and purifying water filters for their homes

Partnered with PGI, Acacia Hills Coffee Estate, and Java Jackets to work on a project to bring drinking water closer to the homes of 2000 people in Tanzania.
